Meet Assel Altayeva, Thrilld Labs' Product & Growth Associate
We are thrilld to share that Assel Altayeva, our former Product Trainee, has now joined Thrilld Labs as a Product & Growth Associate. Thrilld Labs' Traineeship Program offers a unique opportunity for students and young professionals to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of Web3 technology. We checked in with Assel - who is currently working towards completing her undergraduate degree in Global Studies and Computer Science Engineering at Pusan National University, South Korea - to see how her traineeshi experience was.
At Thrilld Labs, we designed our Traneeship Program with a mission to develop the next wave of global Web3 leaders and Web3-savvy professionals who will shape our innovation and teams in the future. By offering special mentorship and hands-on practical experience, we aim to create an innovation-driven, global, and diverse environment within our company.
We sat down with Assel Altayeva, Thrilld Labs' prior Product Trainee who's now taken up the role of Product & Growth Associate, and talked about our very own synergies.
Assel Altayeva joined Thrilld Labs as the Product Trainee during the Fall-Winter 2023-2024 term. She is currently working towards completing her undergraduate degree in Global Studies and Computer Science Engineering at Pusan National University, South Korea.
Assel is a Founder and Podcast host of the Femmes Finance Initiative, where she interviews successful leaders, founders, and investors to inspire young women in their journey to financial freedom and career success. She was a Women@Dior x UNESCO mentee and Dream for Change Finalist.
She is passionate about creating positive social change in the world. We checked in with Assel to see how her traineeship experience has been and why she took up the role of Product & Growth Associate after her traineeship. Read about Assel's experience.
What motivated you to join Thrilld Labs?
I was really motivated to join Thrilld Labs because I strongly resonate with its mission to help people find jobs, secure funding, and forge meaningful partnerships in the web3 space.
The opportunity to be part of a community that supports and empowers people, especially those from underrepresented communities, perfectly aligns with my passion for promoting diversity and inclusion.
So, I am very excited to contribute to the development of this innovative product that will eventually help people from all over the world to succeed in their business and professional endeavors.
How has your experience contributed to your professional growth and your understanding of the Web3 space?
I extremely enjoy working as a Product Manager Trainee at Thrilld Labs, where I've gained a deep understanding of the intricacies within the blockchain space. The primary lesson that I've learned is the constant need for learning and growing in this dynamic field. Creating a successful product is not simple. It demands continuous interaction with the potential customers and constant analysis of innovative features and opportunities. As a bridge between the team and the customer, it goes beyond comprehending customer needs and involves effectively communicating those ideas to ensure the development and delivery of the product to the market.
As an trainee, I am also having a privilege of working under the guidance and support of Alexandra Overgaag, CEO of Thrilld Labs. I found this experience extremely rewarding. Apart from improving hard skills, this traineeship is helping me to develop my interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
As we approach the launch of the EcstaSHE business community tailored for Web3 oriented female executives, professionals, and leaders, I am genuinely enthusiastic about the journey ahead. How do you see Web3 evolve in the future? How do you see the future of business in Web3?
Web3 is bringing a total paradigm shift in the way business operates. In the future, I think most businesses will be operating in a more decentralized and interconnected manner by giving users full control over their data and identity.
This new business model will obliviously let more revenue streams emerge through innovative tools such as tokenization and decentralized governance. While the whole Web3 industry is in its early stages and needs significant advancement, most people, including me, are very excited to see what the future brings.
